Infants should not eat honey—and for a good reason too. Find out here why honey should not be in a baby’s diet.
Honey is not recommended for infants. Because honey is not a heated food, it is considered a raw food. Raw foods have the potential to carry bateria. In honey, there is a possibility of traces of a bacteria known as clostridium botulinum and in some rare cases can result in food poisoning in infants. However, adults are not affected by these trace spores in honey.
